Does an FDA registration mean the medicine is approved?
As checked September 26, 2026, an FDA registration or drug listing does not establish that a medicine has FDA approval.
It also does not establish that selling the medicine is lawful.
Ask which specific product was approved, rather than accepting the badge as the answer.
Does a research label make it a patient-care ingredient?
Washington’s Pharmacy Commission addressed research ingredients in a July 31, 2026 bulletin.
For patient medicines, it bars ingredients carrying a “research use only” label.
The same bar applies to “not for human consumption” ingredients.
This notice does not say that any particular peptide may be made into a patient medicine.
Compounding is preparing or mixing a medicine for a custom order.
Does a cheap offer settle whether a custom copy is allowed?
Federal rules checked September 26, 2026 limit how often ordinary pharmacies can make copies of available medicines.
A prescriber is a health professional allowed to order medicine.
The exception is for a change to the medicine itself, to meet a health need of one named patient.
The prescriber must judge that the change makes a medically important difference for that individual patient.
For example, someone allergic to a dye may need a medicine prepared without that dye.
Charging less is not enough.
Ask which change is being made to your medicine and what health need it addresses.
Does an online form always make a visit invalid?
Washington law checked September 30, 2026 allows some online care where the health professional reviews your information later.
The care still has to meet the standards for a similar visit in person.
Sending email, texts, instant messages or fax alone is not enough to start care under this law.
Ask how the health professional will assess your answers and exchange questions.
Does a licence somewhere else cover a new Washington patient?
As of September 30, 2026, a health professional in another state generally needs Washington’s permission to treat a patient here.
An exception can allow advice to your Washington health professional, who remains responsible for your care.
Another can allow a specialist’s opinion without treatment.
A third can allow follow-up for someone already treated elsewhere who is in Washington for a visit.
Read the online-visit briefing for the limits on these cases.
Ask what permission covers this visit and verify the named person.
